Merci beaucoup Olivier et Jean Jacques!

@ Olivier: I used the 3.5/100 mmm lens and tried to capture a little child's view on this machine (must have something to do with own childhood experience).

@ Jean Jacques: 1' E denotes the axle sequence of this steam locomotive and means: A leading axle in a bogie, followed by 5 coupled driving axles (seen in the picture). There are different systems of designation of locomotive design types that are all aligned with the axle sequences: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classification_des_locomotives (scroll down to the table and find 1' E at the UIC classification compared to others like e.g. 2-10-0 or classification Française 150). The photo shows locomotive no. 52 8086, a postwar reconstruction of so called WW 2 'Kriegslok' (war locomotive series 52) that was build in the early 1950s in the former German Democratic Republic.

Many thanks for your interest and the little hearts! Wish you all a a peaceful and contemplative end of the year.

An incredible machine, again a beautiful timemachine in fact ! As I know your passion for this type of machines,
I was looking on the Internet about 1' E locomotives, I found several photos of the a locomotive called EMC E1.
Is that the type of your photo ?

A close-up viewpoint that gives more power to this big mechanics.

I wish you a very happy holiday season to you both.
