Polaroid 800?

Postby muha22752 » Sat 04 May 2013 / 00:47 am

So I have had this camera for a while now, but I have never taken it out of the case, and I have no idea what its worth or anything. can anyone shed some light on this for me?

hello and welcome. sorry to have to tell you, that this camera is worth...nearly nothing. have a search on ebay for "polaroid 800", go to advanced search and tick the completed listings box. some have been sold around 20$, but some even didn't find a buyer for 9.99$.

they have stopped making film for this camera more than 30 years ago. so it's a nice decorative item, nothing more.

xya is right - it isn't worth much - but why not convert it to pack film?
Then you can make photographs again - or sell it.

it would be quite some work (and money for parts) to convert the camera. there are better models which will produce better results. put it on a shelf and you have a nice conversation piece :)

Converted roll film cameras can be lots of fun but your 800 is not the best candidate for conversion especially if you pay someone to do it. At least the 800 is about the prettiest of the roll film cameras and it would look really nice sitting on your shelf like mine does. It is not worth much but too nice to toss.

It's exactly what mine is doing on a shelf at home in Paris. It's a very nice conversation piece. But I'm using everyday a great 110A/B converted camera, I love it.
