Postby Lemim » Thu 02 December 2010 / 15:04 pm

Hi Polaman,

A link to a tool that calculates the day which was manufactured your SX-70 or SLR 680 camera ;)

http://www.rwhirled.com/landlist/sx70sn.htm

The serial number is here:

I have this for my SX-70:

The complete serial number you entered is 5K021529558.
Your camera has the Alpha 1 shutter design with the Alpha "K" focus wheel.
Your camera is probably an SX-70 model 2 or Alpha 2.
The serial number itself is: 15295
Your camera was made on October 20, 1980 during the A shift.

When the replacement for my regular SX-70, which when I bought, it turns out, was only good for parts value, comes in, we will run it through the generator too.

I want to say press release is the best medium for promoting a new business or any news or products launched by a company or firm.It is a great medium of getting the traffic on a website. If i forget some points about press release please share your views.

Just curious to know. : )

Thanks man. Of course the 'image' of the web cannot do any calculation again. I wonder if we can get the calculation data.

Mint has got only simple calculation. Not as good as the original one, I think.

There is a name "Martin (Marty) Kuhn" at the bottom of the website. Anyone know how to find him?
I wish to know about the calculation - MUCH MORE INFORMATION than Mint.

I did not ask Mint. I don't think Mint will answer me. :fume:

Yes, I tried to look for MARTY but I didn't make it. I do not know if there is any successor of Marty.

I really hope to put this information out, let more ppl know about the history of Polaroid. I am sure this will be another kind of interesting thing and will attract more ppl to join with Polaroid's fun.
