Why are my photos so overexposed?

Postby jarrod13 » Thu 03 August 2017 / 09:59 am

I finally got my camera completely restored mechanically and looking great, just to find out that something is still wrong with it. I've ran a full pack of color film through it and they all came out overexposed/very white. Then I loaded a B&W pack and took two pictures so far and they are doing the same thing. The temperature is average Florida temperatures, I shield them from light immediately after being ejected, I've tried the lighten/darken slider on every setting, light, middle, and dark, with the dark being most visible but still very very white, and I've also tried outside in the sunlight and indoors with lights on, it makes no difference. The only thing I can think is maybe the film gets damaged on the way to me, since I'm sure it gets pretty hot in the delivery truck in Florida. Please help

just an attempt of telediagnosis: you got a sx-70 type camera, right? make sure that you only use instant film for sx-70. or apply a neutral density filter to use higher ISO 600.
