Here's an oddity: "Special Events Camera 2"

One of these showed up on my local Craigslist and I'm stumped. Never seen or heard of one before, and can't find any intel to research it (plenty of info on what I presume is the similar SE-5 AutoSystem for integral films, though) save for a couple of pics on Flickr. I don't want to go look at it if I'm going to be limited in its use (crops pics to a square, etc), so has anyone ever run across one of these and can tell me what it shoots like? Almost seems like a bloated Big Shot (fixed focus).

Thanks!

they show up in germany from time to time. they make full size pictures. you need the power supply for the flash, obviously the supply from a cu-5 will be adaptable. here is some more information: http://www.pandahi.com/1007222579.html

If the price is right, you can always use the film back for a conversion, it's probably a CB-103. Looks like it could be fun to set up for portraits at a party.

You can also use the lens for a conversion. It could be a Tominon 114mm.

no, it's a tominon 5,6/180mm. but it's a good quality lens. I have seen the ad, $40 is a very good price.

This was the camera used to take Santa pictures in most of the malls in the 1980's. The thing is ugly as sin but imho takes the best polaroid pictures of any polaroid camera. IIRC I paid $1,800.00 for mine back in 1980. I still have it.

I would give $40 for it. I am sure you can find some place to have fun with it. Should make great portraits with the 180 lens. Just make sure the back has not been removed as they are often more valuable than the cameras.
