Polaroid 340M - Manual Shutter Speed Conversion

Postby zzpza » Tue 07 February 2012 / 22:38 pm

So I just got my 'Polaroid 340M' conversion working. I found some details of a guy who had replaced the standard automatic electronics with a micro controller and a switch to select shutter speed. You lose the automatic ability, but you gain total control. Some pix and info of the conversion here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/zzpza/sets/72157628871976729/

Thanks :)

It's a pretty easy build if you are handy with a soldering iron. It's also a LOT cheaper than buying a Polaroid 180/185/190 as you said.

Strangely enough there have been 14x GS, 1x ID21F, 2x CX and a Zantia in the family.

I'm still getting to grips with the effective aperture sizes by changing the film speed dial, but I'm zeroing in on the values. :)
